Is the event suitable for disabled participants?

Unfortunately the races are not suitable for disabled participants as the route is over uneven country trails and fields in the park. However, the park does have a network of hard-surfaced wheelchair friendly footpaths ideal for family members and supporters. Accessible toilets are also available in the car park and by the tearooms.

When will I receive my race pack?

You will be emailed a race information pack 2 to 4 weeks before the event. It will also be posted on this website.

How do you time the event?

The event is timed using a race clock and official timekeepers on the finish line. There is no chip timing at this event.

Is there a water station on the route?

There is a water station on the 10k route, but not on the 5k or Fun Run. However, all finishers will be given water and a snack at the end of their race.

Is there an age limit?

The 1.5k Fun Run is for any age, though children aged 8 and under should be accompanied by an adult.

Entrants for both the 5k and 10k need to be 15 or over on race day.

What time can I register from?

Registration is open from 08:00 in front of Upton House which will be clearly signposted from the car park.

Where do I pick my t-shirt up from?

If you have pre-ordered a t-shirt you will be given this at registration.

Can I order a t-shirt if I have already entered?

Yes, just send an email to info@racedayforspring.co.uk, let us know what you would like and we can arrange payment. All t-shirt orders must be received by May 1st 2015 to allow time for printing. They can be picked up at registration on race day.

What will I get when I register?

You will receive your race number and safety pins. If you pre-ordered it, you will also receive your SPRING t-shirt at registration.

What time are the briefings?

Mandatory race briefings are held on the start line 10 minutes before the start of each race. You must be ready to start your race when the briefing ends.

What are the payment methods?

If you enter using the entry form you we would prefer it if you pay by cheque. If you would prefer to enter and pay online you can do so via Runners World; however please be aware that there will be an additional £1.50/£2 administration fee on top of the entry fee which goes to Runners World.

Where can I park my car?

There is a free car park at Upton Country Park, as well as a small free car park on the left hand side just as you turn in to the site. Please be aware however, that parking is limited; so if you can use public transport or car share that would be very much appreciated.

Will Upton Park be open to the public on race day?

Yes it will; which will also limit parking spaces.

Can I get to Upton Country Park using public transport?

Yes. Please click here for more information on how to get to get to Upton Country Park.  There is also an off-route cycle route from Poole Railway Station via Holes Bay, which should take 15-20 minutes to ride.

Is there somewhere secure for my bags?

Yes, there is a free bag drop at race registration.

Do I have to raise sponsorship for SPRING?

There is the option to raise sponsorship for SPRING, using either the sponsorship form provided or by setting up a Just Giving page. More information on this can be found here.

If you would prefer not to raise sponsorship that is fine. There is also the option to donate an extra pound or few when you enter.

Are there medics at the event?

Yes. St. Johns Ambulance will be covering the event and several of the marshals are First Aid trained.

What happens if I get injured before the event and need to pull out?

Unfortunately we are not able to refund entry fees but we are very happy to transfer your number to a friend or family member.
